diaries // 01 2015

During this past month I used my scarce hours away from the books to work on a new layout for the blog. It just hit me that I wanted to change this space completely. On a whim I started working on this and after a month or so - voilĂ ! - this is the result. I have to admit it's my favourite one so far.
I'd be happy to hear your opinions though!

In other news, January is over and I'm feeling happy these days. Hope you're all doing well too.

las vegas, nv

Las Vegas, Nevada.
(our last stop)

Las Vegas is different from everything I have ever seen. You have the glitz of the casinos and the lit-up Strip by night, the busy-as-ever streets, the restaurants and all the good life... But Las Vegas is not entirely about the Strip, and the decadence we imagine. It also welcomes us with a number of others attractions from museums, to shops you simply don't find everywhere or incredible permanent shows from Cirque du Soleil and many others. Everything revolves around the hotels, which unlike in any other place in the world, are open to the public. Why? Because in Vegas, hotels are not just hotels. They are casinos, homes to the most incredible staged performances, aquariums, luxury malls, restaurants, theme parks, you name it. It's a city that allows you to keep busy and still go at a slower pace, which was perfect for the end of such a long trip.
And well, long story short, not crossing Vegas out of my list just yet.

diaries // december '14

I'm not a resolutions kind of girl, but in 2014 I got carried away with my memory keeping project and I decided to jot down a few things I wanted at the beginning of the year. A few, very specific goals or wishes. Looking back, I realise I either fully achieved my goal or I was left with a good base to keep on working. And I'm rather happy with this conclusion.

2015 is going to be a good year. It's a feeling, but at the same time it is not. Have a good year, y'all.
